Tamara Colbert has more than 15 years in public relations and 7 years of production experience. After getting a Master’s degree in Business Management from the University of Redlands in 2004, she started her own PR/marketing consulting company, La Dolce Media.
Tamara’s corporate work specialized in consulting with Fortune 500, Internet start-ups and non-profit companies, including Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, NASA, European Space Agency and the Ronald McDonald House among others. Services provided included, executive (C-level) media training, re-branding, media spokesman, new media initiatives, product launches, trade show management / staging, special event planning, and executive roundtables.
One of the unique aspects of Tamara’s experience is that she’s worked in 70 countries around the world as a public relations executive, freelance news and documentary producer. This international experience has provided her with a wider, global perspective in business, news, political and community relations. This platform has led to numerous speaking engagements, and Tamara continues to speak to women’s groups, as well as non-profit, religious and political organizations.
Additionally, Tamara was actively involved in her husband’s Congressional campaign. This provided an education of strategic, real-world grassroots organization, mobilization and implementation. This new social network will provide a significant launching pad for AWM’s mission and goals.
Tamara’s most important work to date has been raising three boys. She lives in California with her husband John and three children.
